About Us

The Precious Birdsong Family Foundation was founded to give back to the Chattanooga community. Our founder, Precious Birdsong, and her family often prioritize giving away clothes, food, toys, and other necessities to those in need in the Chattanooga community, especially during the holiday season.

How We Serve Our Community

Caring for the Community

Caring for the Community drives to collect food, toys, and clothes for those less fortunate. These drives will be conducted quarterly. If you are interested in contributing to these drives, please visit the donation page or contact us at connect@pbfamilyfoundation.org

BETs

BETs (Birdsong’s Educational Talks) will consist of influential people within the Chattanooga metropolitan area speaking with young aspiring young professionals between the ages of 14-22 (exceptions will be made as necessary).

Motivational BETs will occur periodically throughout the year and will be community service events giving young professionals an opportunity to get involved in the community by devoting their time to other activities/organizations in need of assistance. BETs are not limited to a specific gender, ethnicity, or race unless otherwise specified. BETs may take place at high schools in the Chattanooga area, as we’d collaborate with these schools to provide a professional development experience with educational content.

Scholarship (Coming Soon)

To apply for this scholarship, a student/family must have already been granted acceptance into the Baylor School.

By providing scholarships, it would be in the efforts of the Precious Birdsong Family Foundation to improve the children’s educational and life outcomes. While the criteria for the scholarship(s) are still being finalized, the recipients must meet standard testing requirements and fulfill a community service obligation. The Precious Birdsong Family Foundation will strive to redefine what a community and family looks like, and as we do so, we will continue to break barriers and open doors for the students and families in Chattanooga.

Some of the criteria are as follows:

  • Academic Success – GPA requirement of 3.0 or higher (on a 4.0 scale)

  • Financial Need

  • Participation in extra-curricular activities including sports, community service, etc.

  • Personal Character

  • Leadership Roles
